At this hour???
Between Friday night and yesterday, I've been pretty much bummed out. Been quite a busy weekend for the 3 of us.
Since I did say that I will tell you about my weekend plan and whether it worked out. It did and, I am glad. Got around to doing things we needed to do. I would say it was a pretty eventful and productive weekend.
In the midst of the running around, we went on a bird hunt...and I'm not talking about the 2 legged kind either. Oh, yes, crap. I am talking about the 2 legged kind but just the kind with real feathers...LOL...
We took lil' Ash to the KL BirdPark located in the city, about 15 to 20 minutes from where we live. The park is covered naturally and it's one of the nature attractions of the Lake Gardens, forming the city's green belt.
In total, we spent walking around for 2 hours. OK, not walking the entire stretch but crawled and stopped for ice-cream and to pee. Incidentally, we were having our ice-cream at the rest area where all the tables and chairs were. I did say it was covered so you would imagine certain harmless chirps roaming around that place right? Yeah, and they drove the kids crazy. Or should I say, the kids drove the birds crazy, chasing and scaring them away...As I was saying, we were seated at one of the tables with trees surrounding us, branches hovering over our heads.
We weren't the only ones but I think, we were the only ones who didn't realise that directly above us sat a huge bird, resting on the branches. The realisation only occurred when we finished our ice-cream and that means, we have been sitting under that humongous thing for at least 15 minutes!!! Imagine what had happened if it pooped on us? Or what if it fell on us? I would've just died! And to think, no one warned us about it. Talk about unfriendly people. I would've told them if it was them sitting under that damn bird.
Now, what's a story without photos eh? Besides, I'm running out of time. So, my dear internets, some photos to keep you company.
