S.O.S

A friend recently confided in me that due to a sudden change in her company's policy, she may be out of a job. OK, here is the whole story.

She has been working with this local telecommunication company for a couple of years now serving one of the top management personnel as her boss. She's a secretary. So far, so good. No problems with her boss or the company thus far.

However, recently, there was a reshuffling within the Board of Directors. New ones being appointed and not so new ones, got the boot. Naturally, the effect affects the lower rung. Some of the senior management personnels got their employment terms converted to contract basis and one of them was her boss. Her boss's contract expired and till today there is no news of his term being extended. He has gone for an indefinite vacation. That was what she was told to tell people in case she was asked or queried.

I told her not to wait and send in her resume to various job headhunters and see what type of job offers she may get. I suppose she could give www.myjobengine.com a try. I think there is no harm in that.
